Since Bridger’s entrance into the market in June, the new insurance technology company has been developing a new suite of California auto insurance products for more than 2,000 California agents.

In speaking with Chris Ruyak, Executive VP of Carrier & Product Development, he stated, “Bridger is working with KnightBrook Insurance to launch a new non-standard auto program in a state where such policies are difficult to find. This will fill a large void that very few companies are insuring.”

The new California auto insurance program with Knight is scheduled to launch before the end of 2017. In recent meetings with agents and related associations, it has been well received.

The final product Bridger is currently developing for California auto insurance is a commercial auto program. Bridger is in the midst of conducting extensive market research to confirm the need and validity of the new California auto insurance program. “We are reviewing results of several market studies and surveying our own agent network to assure the right suite of products is developed for agents to sell,” stated Ruyak from his Pleasanton, California office.

In addition to Bridger’s new California auto insurance programs, the company is also releasing a renter’s insurance program, which is being underwritten by Millennial Specialty Insurance Group. Ruyak went on to share, “With the growing renters market and less than a 3% vacancy rate in most California cities, renter’s insurance is a big opportunity and relatively quick to release into the market.”

Bridger is a start-up insurance technology company developing a suite of new technologies to make the process of transacting insurance and filing claims much more efficient and cost-effective. More is scheduled for 2018, as the company plans to expand into Texas, followed by Arizona.
